Tour Ticket

We decided to make a tour ticket for her infinity tour. When creating the tour ticket, I used Microsoft Word. The tour ticket resembled that of Ariana Grande as she is a key inspiration of my artist. I used the shape tool to make a rectangle as the basis and then added my album cover, tour poster into separate squares within the ticket. I inserted a background of Georgia and added brightness to highlight her face and sell her image. Like Ariana’s ticket I placed the tour name across the front using the strip tool to draw attention to the tour name which is labelled Infinity. This inspiration came from a lyric in one of Ariana’s songs. The barcode was taken of Google Images and placed on the right hand side like all tour tickets. I then added the text such as the place, location, date and time into a text book and put it over the picture, and then added in the row and seat number so that it looked like a professional ticket. The ticket still sticks with the same recurring colour theme that we've used continually throughout our project.

New and Final Album Cover

This is our new album cover. After much though we decided to change the album to a more neutral colour theme. We thought this would work much better as it not only looks better but also fits into the theme we want to portray our artist as which is urban, girl next door. We also changed the font choice as we wanted a more standard font as we thought it was more capturing than the script one, although more basic we think it brings more qualities that could help increase sales. The chiarascuro front cover creates an interesting look to the album and represents mystery. It reminds me of Adele's front cover which I like a lot.

Account of Fifth Film Day

This was a very good film day as we got everything done. However, when filming due to the weather getting cold and dark, we were in a bit of a rush to get it done. For this reason when watching the footage back, there was some lines where she got confused with the words which interfered with the lip syncing part of the music video. So, we decided to then film again. However, just against a white wall as this will contrast with the colourful and vibrant backgrounds. We are going to use the Osmo camera again as we thought it was really good and effective as you can see it isn't a normal camera. When showing people the footage they were amazed and asked how we filmed it.

Fifth Filming Day

We decided to next film on January the 8th.

The weather is perfect for filming as it will be sunny.

This also means less risks will occur and the equipment won't get wet.

Georgia was also available this day to film.

This will be the last film day. We want to film her walking through a park singing to the camera using an steady camera and make the car crash scene a bit better and also do the off licence scene. We are thinking of also doing a scene in the grave yard with Jonah to make it more realistic and add to the dramatic effect but another day. After this we will be pretty much finished.

Resolving the Box

My aim with this shot was to create the illusion that ghost Georgia was looking at dead Georgia on the road. However, due to the time between changing and doing Georgia's make up, the conditions had changed. Even though only small, the shots didn't line up creating this box around Georgia which made it look unrealistic and fake.

In order to change this, I watched tutorials trying to figure out how to remove this 'box'. After hours of fiddling around on Final Cut Pro, I found the mask tool. After this I outlined Georgia and increased the feathering around her body to make it blend in.

This worked much better. However after watching the clips, the background clip had more movement than the freeze frame of Georgia on the ground. For this reason, i exported it to after effects and tracked the movement in the shot and made both the foreground and background shot have the same path of movement so it looks like one shot.

Account of Fourth Film Day

Fourth Film Day

Georgia unfortunately was feeling under the weather so we had to rearrange for Sunday the 6th of December. However, on this day, Lucie was feeling unwell so I filmed the Camden scenes again with Georgia to get more of a variety of shots which was successful after looking back on the clips. This took us only 30 minutes there.

We then met lucie back at me where we filmed the ghost scenes. Unfortunately it started to rain during the day so when it stopped we took it upon ourself to film in that short gap. This made us face challenges such as lighting, wet floor, slipping and damaging the camera.

Because of the technique we were aiming to use we had to keep the camera in the same place however this involved us going back to my house to do Georgia's make up and for her to change clothes so we used selctape to mark the floor. However after editing we found that we had a box around the different shot where the camera wasn't in the right place so we will have to find a way to resolve this.

Final Make Up

I did Georgia's make up using techniques that i experimented with shown in a blog post further down. I used liquid latex and tissue paper to create the wound on her face. I then used foundation to make it blend in with her skin making the illusion that it is realistic. I then used fake blood to add to the depth of the wound and made it look like it was newly cut. The lumpiness and texture of the cut was enhanced by the tissue paper which i think worked really well.

I then continued to make her face look more realistic from a car crash by doing a bruise on her face around the wound but as well on her other cheek around her eye where she fell when she got hit. I chose these places to do the bruises as I think they will look good with the camera angles we are using as well as because they are where she would have landed and got hurt. I used colours from the eye shadow palette like purple, brown, black, yellow and red to create the effect of a bruise.

I think the make up looked really realistic and works well with the white clothing and in our shots worked well with the gloomy background we used and made it seem like she was hit with a car.

Music Video Update

We filmed the car crash scene and added it in along with more of a variety of shots as we went to re film the shots in front of the graffiti wall. However, we used the idea of her looking at herself dead but as you can see the frame around the outside which doesn't look very professional so we need to find a way to make it look effective. Alternatively, we like the use of shots in this edit as it is more interesting. After watching it, we wanted to re film the bus scene as the camera work is shaky. We also want to try have a shot of her walking out of herself when the time lapse are occurring in the white outfit to make it more of a story. From my feedback I have decided to also cut the shot of Jonah as it seems he cares about his phone more than his girl friend dying. Additionally, I really like the last shot as think it leaves the video with a great message.

Car Crash

For the car crash scene we want it to look like Georgia is looking at herself dead. I did this by using final cut pro and layering the two clips and changed the opacity. I then used the 'transform' tool to arrange the body where i wanted it to look realistic. However, you can see where the shot is so i need to work out how to get rid of it to make it look like 1 shot.

"Kid's on the top deck quiet for a change"

Today, Lucie and I decided instead of using a public bus as this was going to be hard to gain permission and timing wise due to being at school till 4 when it gets dark, we are going to try and get permission to film on the school buses which are red and we could also guarantee that the whole top deck would be only kids. Obviously, this comes with many problems. The first being permission and consent of the children. For this reason we went through, security, teachers, head of the school and head of child security who deals with issues like consent. After going on a chase for the correct answer, we finally got granted permission as long as we were given consent by the children and the bus driver. So we asked the bus drivers permission who said yes and then announced to all the kids on the top deck of the school bus that our video is for our a level media project and we are making a music video, it will be uploaded to You Tube and Facebook. They all kindly agreed. This then made it easier for us to get our footage effectively.
